One UI 7 official release date may have just leaked

After waiting for the much-delayed Android 15-based One UI 7 update, we finally have the exact date for its release. A major leak has revealed the official One UI 7 plan for Galaxy S series, foldables, and A series devices.

Last week, a source claimed that stable One UI 7 would be released for the Galaxy S24 in March, aligning with Samsung’s promise to deliver the update in Q1, 2025. However, a new leak suggests otherwise.

A presentation slide from the Zoom meeting between Samsung Romania officials regarding the S25 series workshop has been leaked, revealing One UI 7 release dates for various Samsung Galaxy devices. Tarun Vats, a well known Samsung news source, has also confirmed the same information.

As per the latest leak, we’ll have to wait for about two more months to experience the stable One UI 7, and Samsung may not be able to roll out the update in the timeline promised earlier.

Here are the actual release dates of the stable One UI 7 update for Galaxy devices.

  • Galaxy S24 series: 18th April
  • Galaxy S24 FE: 18th April
  • Galaxy S23 series: 25th April
  • Galaxy S23 FE: 16th May
  • Galaxy S22 series: 16th May
  • Galaxy S21 series and S21 FE: 23rd May
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6: 18th April
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5: 25th April
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4: 16th May
  • Galaxy Z Fold 3/Flip 3: 23rd May
  • Galaxy A54: 25th April
  • Galaxy A34: 16th May
  • Galaxy A53/A33: 23rd May

There are many other eligible Galaxy devices that are scheduled to receive One UI 7, but for now, the exact One UI 7 release date for these devices is available.

I guess most users already anticipated the extended delay, and many have even lost interest in it. Now that we have the exact release date for One UI 7, the wait period might seem even longer than two months.

The stable One UI 7 is currently available on the latest Galaxy releases, including the Galaxy S25 series and a few other devices. However, the One UI 7 beta is only available for the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta 4 arriving Monday for Galaxy S24

With all the recent bad news, it seems like the One UI 7 stable release is still a long way off. A few weeks ago, Samsung released a press release stating that One UI 7 was imminent, but this doesn’t seem to be the case based on the current situation.

A few days ago, there was a news report about the One UI 7 beta 4 release. However, we now have a specific date for its arrival. As per the source, the fourth beta will be released on Monday next week, which falls on February 17. It will be available to Galaxy S24 users who have enrolled in the beta program.

Samsung fans who have been eagerly waiting for this major update are quite disappointed and losing interest due to the delay. Despite the update already being available on the Galaxy S25, it is still being delayed for older devices, even after three beta test builds.

The Android 15-based One UI 7 beta is already available in beta for Galaxy S24 users in select regions. Thanks to the first three beta builds, we have a good idea of what One UI 7 will bring to older Galaxy devices. While the fourth beta is expected early next week, don’t expect major changes. As confirmed by an official comment, the fourth beta will focus on bug fixes.

There’s no denying that the One UI 7 boasts several exciting features, including NowBar, writing assist tools, improved call transcripts, separate quick settings and notification panel, redesigned camera UI, advanced camera controls, and many more. However, it’s surprising that it took this long and still haven’t released the stable update. Samsung officially started working on One UI 7 over two years ago.

Another bad news that made Galaxy users furious is that some One UI 7 AI features on the Galaxy S25 will not be available on Galaxy S24 or other older models. The official reason they have given is the hardware limitation of these devices.

Like you, we are also waiting for the stable One UI 7 update. Since it will still take some time, you can get the beta version if you have a Galaxy S24 and reside in an eligible region.

Galaxy S24 gets a new One UI 7 Beta update in the USA, shortly after Beta 4

Samsung has released another beta for the Galaxy S24 models in the USA, just two days after the fourth beta was released. As of now, the update is available on AT&T and Verizon’s networks, which suggests it might be carrier-specific.

The fourth beta was a big update, with over 1GB in size, while the fifth beta is significantly smaller, with the size around 500MB. The new One UI 7 beta update for Galaxy S24 series is available with build version S92xU1UEU4ZYBB.

According to the changelog, it looks like Samsung missed a major bug in the last beta, which they have now addressed in the latest beta. One UI 7 Beta 5 fixes the VVM crash issue on the Galaxy S24 series. Yes, there is only one fix mentioned in the changelog.

The beta update is available only to users who have opted for the beta program. If you have done so, you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

This might be the last beta as an Indian Beta Team moderator has informed users that the beta test is coming to an end, and the stable version will be released soon. However, Samsung has repeatedly delayed One UI 7 compared to the expected date, so we shouldn’t be entirely sure until the stable version is released.
